With deep regret, it is our duty to announce that our precious mum, Shirley McGregor, passed away on 19 August 2024. 

Born in Hackney, London on 08 August 1935, Shirley was a daughter to William and Edith Garey, a sister to Peggy and Brenda, a mother to Mark and Lisa and a grandmother to Rachel.

Shirley was a homebody at heart, who lived an uncomplicated life.  She was a good mother, a good homemaker and someone who knew how to appreciate and enjoy the simplest of pleasures to the fullest. 

A simple cremation will be taking place on 09 September 2024 and we would like to ask all those who knew Shirley to take a moment to reflect upon the funny, beautiful, caring, young at heart person we all knew her to be.

Should you wish to make a donation in Shirley's memory, no matter how small, we would ask you to donate to St. Joseph's Hospice, Hackney who took fantastic care of her. 

Thank you to all who have sent their sympathies and condolences. These messages have helped to provide much comfort to the family during this difficult time. 

Shirley is much loved and will always be remembered.
